Synapse
A guided daily companion for TBI caregivers. Built for the person who shows up every day and has no idea what the doctor just said.
"Families were coming in with such excellent questions — it felt like they were finally getting the help they specifically needed."
— Rehab Nurse, user testing
Common Project
A real-time canvas that maps client language as it's spoken and lets coaches reframe what the system hears, keeping human judgment at the center.
Product Design Leader who builds systems that amplify human judgment
I studied HCI at Carnegie Mellon because I couldn't stop asking why software keeps failing the humans it's supposed to serve. Twenty years later I'm still asking the same question in different rooms. I added coaching certification because behavior change is a design problem. I learned to build AI systems by hand because the only way to design something well is to understand how it breaks.
I design how AI behaves with people over time, not just how it looks on launch day. I've shipped research infrastructure for NIH-funded cohort studies, built conversational systems for caregivers navigating crisis, and prototyped agentic pipelines where human judgment stays in the loop. The hardest problems I've solved weren't technical. They were about what a person in a difficult moment can actually hold.

I'm looking for a team where the hard problems are still about people, not just systems. If that's you, let's talk.
